Dr. Austen Hutton. PT, DPT, COMT, NRT.
Dr. Austen Hutton is a physical therapist from Northeast Ohio. Through his years of experience in orthopedic physical therapy he is specialized in manual physical therapy to treat conditions including headaches, dizziness, sports related injuries, low back pain, and movement dysfunction.
Austen earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from the University of Mount Union in 2013 and continued his education at Youngstown State University, earning his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2016. Since graduation he has continued his education through multiple continue education courses including Integrative Dry Needling (IDN), vestibular rehabilitation, Maitland Australian Physiotherapy Seminars), and multiple pain management courses. While working in private practice, Austen has been trained in the use of spinal manipulation and dry needling therapy for generalized neck and back pain and has a Certification in Orthopedic Manual therapy. He has provided educational seminars within his local community on topics such as Fall Prevention and Pain Management strategies and he continues to maintain involvement in education when the opportunity arises. His belief in Physical Therapy as a primary source of health care aligns with PHYT for Function’s delivery of care.
Austen lives in Kent, OH with his wife Mackenzie. Outside of his time in the office, he spends time hiking, golfing, and playing guitar as a local musician.
